Even today images of the late Carolyn Kennedy  seem so utterly 'now' her minimalistic style is as modern and chic now as it was in the '90s'. Muse to Calvin Klein her allure was such that a camera met her every turn. Each outfit captured by the paparazzi was prized and pored over, whether it was an elegant evening look, such as an off-the-shoulder bustier and obi-sash skirt suit by Yohji Yamamoto, or the black tank, Levi’s 517s and Prada sandals she wore to walk her dog, Friday. She always sidestepped the obvious, swerving patrician labels and refused to sentimentally accessorise with her mother in-law, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s, jewellery. Instead, she mostly favoured the new avant-garde creations of designers such as Yamamoto and Ann Demeulemeester: white tuxedo shirts, peplum jackets and asymmetrical skirts. Her coats? Well they were all Prada, Prada, Prada. Everyone was spellbound.

Her style could at times shift to irreverance too mixing a floral dress or a headscarf back with flared jeans.  A classic turtleneck paired with bootleg jeans a hallmark style that oozed timeless luxury. We are forever enamoured with her etheral beauty and timeless style.
